The "Labuan" vases from Venini are produced using the so-called "overlay technique". The overlay technique is one of the oldest techniques in glass production. This wonderful glass process demands a high level of expertise on the part of the glass blower.
What makes Venini glass so special are the many colours with which the Venetian glass manufacturer produces its high-quality Murano glass. Achieving the superior colouring of Murano glass demands the utmost precision of the Venini glass blowers as they put together the various constituents. The traditional glass-blowing technique used by the employees of Venini to manufacture each piece is a craft that very few artisans still master.

The "Veronese" vases from Venini are a design by the artist Vittorio Zecchin from 1921. The artist, who was Venini’s art director from 1921 to 1925, took inspiration from a painting by Paolo Veronese, finished in 1580, which is today kept at the Accademia Galleries in Venice: “The Annunciation”. The glass work was so successful, that it became the firm’s logo.
