Apponyi / Chinese Bouquet Turquoise
Apponyi, one of the Herend Porcelain Manufactory’s most popular décors, developed out of the Fleurs des Indes decoration. The centre of the plate shows a motif in Chinese style: the Fleurs des Indes (Flowers of the Indies) motif of a peony surrounded by leaves. Round the edge of the well runs a garland of stylized leaves, broken periodically by gilded and incised rosettes. On the ledge there is a contoured pattern of a flower surrounded by six leaves, decorated with sparkling flecks of platinum.
The origin of the pattern is associated with Count Albert Apponyi, for whom this simplified version of Fleurs des Indes was first prepared. This décor comes in green colourvariant and its pattern comes in several different colours.
Apponyi Platinum is a modern variant of the original Apponyi – Chinese bouquet. Painted with turquoise and platinum, instead of the traditional Green-Gold. The Herend decor is named after its first customer Count Albert Apponyi.
This decor was created to the 80th anniversary of the original Apponyi decor. The new color variants represents fresh young design. This enables the “New Apponyi” to be natural part of any modern office or hotel.
